CM Chouhan Undertakes Shramdaan at Village Ratanpur

Bhopal: Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan participated in the drive being launched in the entirestate to dig pits for the toilets under the ‘Swachhta Hi Sewa’ campaign at village Ratanpur of Raisen District today. He began the campaign by twin pit digging at village Ratanpur situated at Sanchi-Raisen road. CM Chouhan said that the campaign has been started to make the villages clean. A target has been set to dig 2 lakh pits today itself in the state under the campaign. Moreover, Chouhan informed that the entire Raisen district will be declared open defecation free till November 19.

Moreover, Chouhan mentioned that works to give priority to cleanliness are being started on the occasion of the Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s birthday. The cleanliness campaign started by the PM Modi has become campaign directly linked with the common people. Citizens of Madhya Pradesh are participating with enthusiasm in the campaign. Special efforts will be made till October 2 i.e. Gandhi Jayanti under the campaign in areas where result has not been obtained as expected under the Swachhta Abhiyan.

Chouhan said that open defecation encourages the risk of diseases. Where there is cleanliness, there is health and God. He appealed to the families of the state who do not have toilets at their homes, he mentioned that citizens of the state should take resolution not to go for open defecation then only clean India will be built.

CM Chouhan flagged off the Sawchchta Rath to reach door to door in villages on the occasion. Minister District In-charge Suryaprakash Meena, President Sanchi Janpad S. Muniyan, President Nagar Palika Jamuna Sen, Additional Chief Secretary R.S. Julaniya and villagers in large number were present in the programme.-WTN
