Order to stop encroachments on Government school land

Bhopal: The Department of School Education has issued detailed instructions to all district collectors to stop encroachments on the land of government schools in the state. The collectors have been told to secure land of those government schools for which the fund for boundary wall has not been approved, by getting wire fencing done. Plantation of saplings and wire fencing can be a good alternative for a cemented boundary wall.

Director Rajya Shiksha Kendra has directed to facilitate approach roads to government schools on priority basis. Collectors have been told that the shala upkar amount of Nagar Nigam, Nagar Parishad and Nagar Palika should be spent on school development. Regular reviews of schools should be conducted where construction works are incomplete and completion should be ensured within the time limit. Stern action will be taken against employees and officials who are the cause for the delay in construction works. Instructions have been given to pay special attention to cleanliness, repair of toilets in particular and clean drinking water arrangement. It may be recalled that there are 83 thousand 890 primary and 30 thousand 341 middle schools in the state.-WTN
