Five-day Sindhu Mahotsav begins

Bhopal: Sindhu Mahotsav is being organized under the joint aegis of M.P. Sanskriti Parishad, Sindhi Sahitya Academy and Karmashri Sansth on the occasion of the birth anniversary of Sant Hirdaram from September 21 to 25 at Deepmala Pagrani Sanskar Public School, Bhopal. Various programmes are being organised till September 25 during the fest. It may be recalled that September 21st is Sant Hirdaram Sahib’s birthday and September 25th is Pt. Deendayal Upadhayaya’s birthday.
On the first day of Sindhu Mahotsav on September 21, a seminar based on Sant Hirdaram’s life was held. On September 22, a painting contest on “Cleanliness and Environment” would be organized. In the first level, students from Class VI to VIII will participate while in the second level students from Class IX to XII will take part. On the third day students from Class VI to VIII and Class IX to XII will take part in essay contest on the topic “Sindhu Sabhyata se Bharat ka Uday”. Selected students will be given prizes and certificates. On September 24, military band/police band will give a presentation of patriotic songs. The Mahotsav will conclude with a Kanya Bhoj at Sant Hirdaram Hall from 9 a.m. on September 25.-WTN
