Promote Animal Husbandry Activities for Livelihood: Minister Smt. Chitnis

Bhopal: With an objective to promote activities of animal husbandry for livelihood in Burhanpur, Minister for Women and Child Development Smt. Archana Chitnis held meeting of Officers of the Animal Husbandry department at Bhopal today. Action plan was prepared in the meeting for implementation of various schemes for goat, cows, buffaloes and pig farming in Burhanpur and to attain set target within stipulated time limit. Smt. Chitnis mentioned that goat’s milk production is economical and beneficial for health, therefore special units will be established to ensure its production at commercial level and for easy availability of milk among the common people. She further said that there is a need for implementation of scheme in coordination of municipality and district industry center beside animal husbandry department for pig farming. Principal Secretary Animal Husbandry department Ajit Kesri and Officers of the department were present in the meeting.-WTN
