Decisions on Tenders Worth Rs. 4000 crore under E-Tenderings Central Arrangement

Bhopal: E-Tendering's centralized system of Water Resources department is being functioning with the cooperation of Treasury and Accounts. Beside transparency, e-payment to the contractor is ensured within stipulated time under this arrangement. Officers of Water Resources department, Maharashtra got themselves apprised with the centralized system at Bhopal recently. They also met Head of the department Pankaj Agrawal.

Currently, all the tenders over Rs. 20 lakh are being received in the water resources department through e-tendering and decisions are being taken under the centralized system. Decisions has been taken on 500 tenders of the department costing Rs. 4000 crore during last year i.e. 2016-17 under this system. Moreover, a transparent arrangement has been made for payment by uploading bill by the contractor on online system of EMB. Payment within 10 days after uploading the bill by the contractor has been ensured under this system. CSFMS prepared by Madhya Pradesh Treasury and Accounts is being used to facilitate payment in the contractors' bank account through RTGS. Superintending Engineer of Water Resources department Y.C. Sharma gave information on online system of EMB to the officers of the Maharashtra. Moreover Chief Engineer Shirish Mishra of the water resources department informed them about the centralized e-tendering. He informed that besides transparency in decisions, works related to tender has speeded up under this system. Additional Director Treasury and Accounts J.K.
