State Level Drought Monitoring Committees Meeting Concluded

Bhopal: A meeting of State Level Drought Committee held under the Chairmanship of the Chief Secretary Basant Pratap Singh at Mantralaya. Drought condition of the state was reviewed in the meeting based on the guidelines of amended Drought Management Manual 2016 of the Government of India. CS Singh gave instructions to hold meeting of the committee again in the first week of October.

District wise information on rainfall status from June 1 till date in the state, crop sowing, soil moisture was presented in the meeting. Director Meteorological department gave presentation on rainfall status.

Additional Chief Secretary Planning and Statistics Deepak Khandekar, Additional Chief Secretary Energy Iqbal Singh Bains, Principal Secretary Women and Child Development J.N. Kansotiya, Principal Secretary Farmers Welfare Rajesh Rajora, Principal Secretary Revenue Arun Pandey, Secretary Urban Development and Housing Vivek Agrawal and Officers of Meteorological department, Central Ground Water Commission, Remote Sensing Center were present in the meeting.-WTN
