Minister Antar Singh Arya to give away awards
Bhopal: Cottage and Gramodyog Minister Antar Singh Arya will honour outstanding weavers and master craftsmen with the Kabir Weaver and Vishwakarma awards on September 26. Kabir Weaver awards of year 2016-17 and Vishwakarma awards up from year 2014 to 2016 will be distributed in a ceremony at Samanvay Bhavan.
This award is given by Commissioner Handloom and Handicrafts and Sant Ravidas Madhya Pradesh Handloom and Handicrafts Development Corporation every year.
The weavers/craftspersons are honoured with award money, shawl-coconut and certificate. The award includes Rs one lakh as first prize, Rs 50 thousand as second prize, Rs 25 thousand as third prize and Rs 15 thousand as consolation prize.-WTN
