Professors Posted in Cities Should Teach at Block level Voluntarily

Bhopal: Minister for Higher Education Jaibhan Singh Pawaiya said that Professors posted in big cities should teach at block level voluntarily for a period of One year. Pawaiya said this in a programme organized by Madhya Pradesh Uccha Shiksha Parivar in his honour. The Madhya Pradesh Uccha Shiksha Parivar honoured Pawaiya for innovations in higher education and decisions taken by him in the interest of the students and professors.

Pawaiya mentioned that state has good quality education standard and constant efforts are being made to make it further better. He said that research work is needed in the universities of the state. We have to move forward speedily in the field of research to obtain results. Moreover, he stated that the professors should also work to link the youths of the state with the country and the society. Youths are needed to prosper themselves with intellect rather than money. Furthermore, Pawaiya said that career should not come before the life. Mentioning about the blue whale game, he said that he has told the colleges and the universities to issue guidelines in this matter. Pawaiya mentioned that we have to solve that how suicidal trends emerge among the youths despite literacy.

Moreover, Pawaiya said that teachers’ conduct, incidents, behavior, love guidance and personalities attract youths and society towards them. Therefore we should pay attention towards it. Teachers are model and inspiration for the society and students. ‘Guruway Nama’ programme was organized this year to enhance respect and dignity between teachers and students.

Expressing gratitude for honour, Pawaiya dedicated the honour to the Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan and said that we are establishing new dimensions of higher education in his leadership. He further mentioned that work undertaken with the team spirit never goes in vain.

Pawaiya said that names left out in the list of associate professors will be redressed within a month. He further said that students’ facilities have been included in the Public Service Guarantee. Pawaiya stated that some court cases become pending in absence of rules and because of non-clarity. Efforts are being made to frame rules within a month time to solve these cases.

Additional Chief Secretary Higher Education B.R. Naidu describing the inspirational personality of Pawaiya said that we get energy from him. He told the professors to make efforts to set example of their conduct in the society. Commissioner higher Education Neeraj Mandloi stated that the state will become leader in the country by qualitative education, discipline and by performance of the students. Vice Chancellors, Registrars, Principals and professors of various universities and colleges were present in the programme.

Minister Pawaiya was honoured with shawl-shreephal and citation letter was read out. Mementoes were also presented at the end of the programme.-WTN
