7 gram panchayats of Ujjain division to become cashless

Bhopal: Seven gram panchayats of Ujjain division will become cashless by December this year. For this, preparations are being made in these gram panchayats with the help of nationalized bank. Ujjain division commissioner has instructed district collectors to conduct regular review of the cashless process of selected gram panchayats.

The gram panchayats which will become cashless include Salakhedi gram panchayat of Janpad Panchayat of Ratlam district, Palkhedi of Janpad Panchayat Aagar of Aagar district, Kelod of Janpad Panchayat Dewas of Dewas district, Belri gram panchayat of Tarana Janpad of Ujjain distritct, Balagudha of Malhargarh Janpad Panchayat of Mandsaur district, Navalpura of Janpad Panchayat Neemuch of Neemuch district and Govinda gram panchayat of Janpad Panchayat Mohanbadodia of Shajapur district.

Efforts will be made to popularise Centre’s “Bhim App” among villagers in these gram panchayats. Bhim app is an app in which cashless transaction facility without internet. Finance Department has also issued instructions to the district collectors to encourage cashless transactions. Collectors have been told to take the help of the lead bank of the district.-Windowtonews
