Suman Rani Gets Rid of Smoke

Bhopal: Earlier wood was used as fuel to cook food, wood and kerosene were bought from the market then only people were able to cook food for the family. Now, the people have got rid of the smoke and the fear of loosing their eyesight, owing to the government scheme - Ujjwala Yojna, under which free gas connection is provided to the poor. Also daughters have started assisting their mothers willingly, in preparing food. This has been said by Suman Rani Ahirwar, a resident of village Hirdepur of Damoh district. 

Suman Rani’s family consists of her husband Shri Mulu Ahirwar, three daughters and a son. All the children are pursuing studies in school. Suman Rani’s sister-in-law, Pana Ahirwar has also taken a gas connection after getting inspired by her. She also cooks food for the family on the gas stove. This family is mainly dependent on labour. Hence, they have started getting more time to make both ends meet easily, due to the benefit of Ujjwala Yojna.

Suman Rani says, that the government has eliminated the problems of housewifes by providing benefits of Ujjwala Yojna. While preparing food on gas stove Suman Rani in Bundeli dialect says, “Ab hamai na aankh pirat aur na asooa aat hain”. She further desires that it would prove more beneficial if a stand will be provided along with the gas stove for safety purposes.-Windowtonews
