Smart City Integrated Command and Control Center to Become Model for Other States

Bhopal: Integrated Command and Control Center (I.C.C.C.) developed as the first model of the country for the proposed 7 Smart Cities in the state will be adopted by other states. This was said by the Secretary of the Union Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs Durgashankar Mishr during the review of urban development activities here today.

Mishr said that the decision to make single command center in place of various command centers in 7 smart cities of the state is praiseworthy. About 70 percent of the budget will be saved by making single command center at one place. Lauding the unique experiment for cross subsidy in housing scheme, Mishr said that the state government is adhering to the guidelines set by the Union Government since earlier.

Mishr discussed in detail about financial sponsored various national programmes, Amrut Yojana, Smart City, Swachchha Bharat Mission (Urban), Pradhan Mantri Awas and progress on urban transport and potable water supply in the meeting. Secretary Urban Development of the State Vivek Agrawal and Joint Secretary Housing and Urban Affairs of the Union Ministry S.D. Meena were present on the occasion.

94 Percent Works Begin under Amrut Yojana

Secretary Urban Development of the Union Ministry Durgashankar Mishr inspected the works carried out under the Amrut Yojana in Sehore today. He was apprised that 94 percent works have been started in the state under the Amrut Yojana. Mishra also lauded the work begun to produce electricity and fertilizer from the garbage by forming cluster for cleanliness in the state.-Windowtonews
