Reduction in Diesel-Petrol VAT Rate: Additional Surcharge on Diesel Abolished

CM Chouhan made Announcement in Public Interest
Bhopal: Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan while giving a big relief to the people of the state made an announcement for reduction in VAT rate on diesel and petrol. He also abolished the additional surcharge of Re. One and 50 paisa per litre charged on diesel. The rates will come in effect from midnight today. The diesel which is being sold at the rate of Rs. 63 and 31 paisa per liter presently will be sold at Rs. 59 and 37 paisa per liter after midnight.
CM Chouhan said that this decision for reduction in diesel and petrol rates has been taken to give relief to the common people and the farmers keeping in view their requirement. He mentioned that the reduced rates of diesel and petrol will reduce the freight and the articles will become cheaper.
Chouhan informed that VAT on diesel has been reduced by 5 percent and additional surcharge of Re. One and 50 paisa charged on diesel has also been abolished. Similarly, VAT on petrol has also been reduced by 3 percent.-Windowtonews
