CM Chouhan to launch the scheme at Khurai
Bhopal: The Bhavantar Bhugtan Yojana prepared for the benefit farmers will be launched in the state’s 257 krishi upaj mandis at a Kisan Sammelan on October 16. Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan will launch the scheme at 1 pm at the Kisan Maha-Sammelan in Khurai Krishi Upaj Mandi in Sagar district.
Cabinet Members will take part in the inaugural ceremony at krishi upaj mandis of 26 districts in the state. In the remaining 25 district’s mandis, MPs, MLAs and other public representatives will be taking part. Registration has been done so that maximum number of farmers can benefit from the Bhavantar Bhugtan Yojana. Soyabean, groundnuts, sesame, ramtil, corn, moong, urad and tuar crops have been included in the scheme.
The period of sale for soyabean, groundnuts, sesame, til, ramtil, corn, moong and urad will be from October 16, to December 15, 2017. And for tuar the period of sale will be from February 1, 2018 to April 30, 2018.
Average of model rate of MP and two other states will be the model sales rate
The counting of model sales rate will be based on the average model rate of Madhya Pradesh and two other states. Model sales rate of two other states Maharashtra and Rajasthan will be taken for Soyabean, Gujarat and Rajasthan for groundnut, Odisha and Chhattisgarh for sesame, West Bengal and Rajasthan for ramtil, Karnataka and Maharashtra for corn, Rajasthan and Maharashtra for Moong, Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh for urad and Maharashtra and Gujarat for tuar.
Registered farmers will get the benefit of the scheme on selling agricultural products produced in Madhya Pradesh at notified mandi premises. Under the scheme, State Cooperative Marketing Federation and State Civil Supplies Corporation will make the payment to eligible farmers.
Under the scheme, as per provision of counting of payable amount to farmers, if the sales rate of the notified crop sold at the Mandi Samiti premises is less than the Minimum Support Price but more than the model sales rate announced by the state government, then the difference of minimum support price and the model sales rate will be transferred to the account of the farmers. Grant will be given to registered farmers to provide opportunities for sale of their produce at appropriate market price and to keep their agricultural produce at licensed godowns to promote them to sell their crop on time.-Windowtonews
