Benefit of Government Schemes Must Also Reach to Tail End People: Minister Mallayya

Bhopal: Minister for Finance Jayant Mallayya said that benefits of the government schemes must also reach to the people of the tail end. He further mentioned that electricity will be provided to every village and settlement under the Soubhagya Yojana of the Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Mallayya was addressing the meeting of District Planning Committee in Damoh today. A work plan costing Rs. 534 crore was approved for the year 2018-19 for Damoh district in the meeting.

Mallayya instructed the officers of the electricity board that electricity bills should be served to the consumers on the basis of meter reading. Deliberations on roads, potable water and state of crops in the district also took place in the meeting. Cases of State Illness Assistance Fund were also approved in the meeting. Mallayya mentioned that compensation amount under the Prime Minister Crop Insurance scheme should be distributed timely. He further stated that the Insurance Company must have office in every block and should make arrangement for toll free number for the convenience of the farmers. Member of Parliament Prahalad Patel, MLAs Lakhan Patel, Pratap Singh and Smt. Umadevi Khatik were present in the meeting.-Windowtonews
