CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan reaches Washington D.C. on US tour

Bhopal: Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan reached Washington DC on Sunday evening on tour to America. Earlier, Chouhan had formed a Friends of M.P. forum during his last America tour in February-2015.

CM Chouhan will meet the first Hindu member of American Congress Tulsi Gabbard and US-India Business Council President Smt. Nisha Biswal in America. He will be chief spokesperson for two special programmes in America. Later he will also take part in an interactive session on important topics with the members of Friends of M.P. Forum.

Chouhan will meet Indians in America. Later a meeting will be organized between Indian Ambassador Navtej Saran and the Chief Minister. Chouhan will address the inaugural ceremony of Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya Forum at American Senate on October 23, Monday as the Chief Spokesperson. The same evening he will have a meeting with Tulsi Gabbard and US-India Business Council Smt. Nisha Biswal.

On Tuesday October 24, Chouhan will take part in an Investment Promotion Conference in America. The programme is being organized jointly by the US-India Strategic Partnership Forum and Confederation of Indian Industry. The same evening CM Chouhan will visit the Akshardham temple in New Jersey. He will have his lunch with business leaders on Wednesday October 25. The programme to be organized during the luncheon will be addressed by New York Consul General Sandeep Chakravorty. A presentation on behalf of Madhya Pradesh will be given by Principal Secretary Commerce, Industry and Employment Mohammed Suleman during the programme.

CM Chouhan will also visit the Incubation Centre at Columbia University. On Thursday October 26, he will meet Managing Director of Goldman Sachs Harsh Gupta and President of Haldia Petrochemicals Purnendu Chatterjee. On Friday October 27, he will meet prominent personalities in separate meetings. He will leave for India on Saturday October 28.-Windowtonews
