Statistics of Best 3 Production in 5 Years to be considered now for Average Crop under Bhavantar Bhugtan Yojana

Farmers Welfare Department Issues Directives
Bhopal: The Farmers Welfare and Agriculture Development Department has taken a decision in the interest of the farmers under the Bhavantar Bhugtan Yojana that the statistics of best 3 production during the last 5 years for the selected crop of the districts coming under the each agro-climatic zone will be considered for all the districts falling under the above mentioned agro climatic zone. Directives have been issued in this regard to all concerned officers.
| 60.82 Lakh M.T Crops Under the Ambit of Bhavantar A total of 60 lakh 82 thousand metric tonne crops has been estimated on the basis of multiplication of average crop production in the registered area under the Bhavantar Bhugtan Yojana. The crops produce as mentioned above of the registered farmers will come under the ambit of the scheme. This include 38 lakh 42 thousand metric tonne soybean, 12 lakh 92 thousand metric tonne maize, 6 lakh 96 thousand metric tonne urad, One lakh 29 thousand metric tonne tuar, 81 thousand metric tonne ground nuts, 37 thousand metric tonne seasame, 8 thousand metric tonne moong and 2 thousand metric tonne ramtil. |
It may be mentioned that there are 11 agro-climatic zones in the state including Malwa plateau i.e. Indore, Ujjain, Mandsaur, Ratlam, Dewas, Shajapur, Agar-Malwa, Rajgarh and Neemuch districts. Agro-climatic zone of Nimar Plateau include Dhar, Khargone, Badwani, Khandwa, Burhanpur and Harda districts. Similarly, Kaimur plateau and hills of Satpura include Jabalpur, Katni, Seoni, Panna, Rewa and Satna dsitricts. Northern plateau of Chhatisgarh includes Mandla, Dindori, Sidhi, Singrauli, Shahdol, Anuppur and Umaria districts. Moreover, Sagar, Damoh, Bhopal and Vidisha districts have been included in agro climatic zone of Vindhya plateau. Narsinghpur, Sehore, Raisen, Hoshangabad districts in Central Narmada Valley and Morena, Sheopurkalan, Bhind, Gwalior and Guna districts have been included in Gird region agro-climatic zone.
Moreover, under the agro-climatic zone of Bundelkhand Plateau, districts include Tikamgarh, Chhatarpur, Shivpuri, Ashoknagar and Datia whereas Dhar, Jhabua and Alirajpur districst have been included in the hilly agro- climatic zone of Jhabua.
Under the 10th climatic zone of the state, Chhindwara and Betul districts have been included in the agro-climatic zone of Satpura plateau. Balaghat is the only single district which has been included as 11th agriculture climatic zone of Chattisgarh plateau.
Eight crops have been included under the Bhavantar Bhugtan Yojana. 19 lakh 7 thousand 510 registrations have been made under the scheme. These registrations have been made for crops sown in 37 lakh 53 thousand 709 hectare area. 9 lakh 53 thousand 233 registration for soybean, 5 lakh 62 thousand 333 for urad, 2 lakh 53 thousand 933 for maize, One lakh 832 for tuar, 40 thousand 587 registrations for seasame 36 thousand 925 registrations for ground nut, 12 thousand 762 registrations for moong and 3,205 registrations for ramtil have been made. The difference amount under the scheme is being deposited in the bank accounts of the farmers. Arrangement to send information on registered mobile numbers of the farmers has also been made.-Windowtonews
