Physically challenged Mukesh becomes self-reliant

Bhopal: This is the story of Mukesh Kumar Verma, resident of Sahilvar village in Gunaur panchayat at Panna district. Mukesh has 70 percent bone deformation disabilities but his confidence knows no bounds. Incapable of working like others, Mukesh was unemployed. At such a time, the State’s Social Justice and Disability Welfare Department helped him.
Mukesh tied the nuptial knot with physically challenged Sonia at a Mass Marriage Ceremony under the Mukhya Mantri Kanya Vivah Yojana. Luckily Mukesh received Rs 25,000 given to couples under the Mukhya Mantri Kanya Vivah Yojana and Rs one lakh through Disabled Person Marriage Scheme. He decided to become self-reliant with the help of this money.
Mukesh got an auto rickshaw financed after acquiring financial assistance from the Khadi and Gramodyog Department. Today physically challenged Mukesh runs the auto and earns a livelihood for his family. Besides he is planning to open a bangle shop for his wife Sonia. State government’s assistance has changed Mukesh’s life.-Windowtonews
