Maximum limit of gratuity to be paid to government employees is Rs 20 lakh

Bhopal: The State Government has taken important decisions regarding benefits of pension, family pension of government employees retired/deceased on January 1, 2016 or after it. According to the provision of Madhya Pradesh Civil Service (Pension) Rule 1976, fixation of pension, family pension, leave encashment  will be made by adjusting previously paid amount in revised pay scale.

According to the order issued by the Department of Finance, maximum limit of gratuity has been increased to Rs 20 lakh for government employees of the state. Similarly, the minimum monthly pension and family pension has now been fixed at Rs 7750 (excluding extra pension received from elder people). The State Government has fixed the maximum ceiling of pension / family pension to be 50 and 30 percent of maximum salary received in revised pay scale.-Windowtonews
