Indo-US ties significant for development and world peace: CM Chouhan

Bhopal: Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan said that Indo-US ties have strengthened with the mutual support of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and American President Shri Donald Trump. The ties between the two countries would be significant not only for development but also for world peace.

Talking to the media at the state hangar on his return from US tour, Chouhan said that he was invited by the Indian Embassy for lecture on the relevance of Integral Humanism on the birth centenary year of the great thinker Late Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay. He said that the world is accepting the relevance of Integral Humanism. Now the principle of Integral Humanism is the only hope. The rest of the ideologies have failed and are irrelevant.

Chouhan told that he gave information related to the remarkable progress of Madhya Pradesh and India to non-resident Indians. “Friends of Madhya Pradesh” has become a strong platform, he said. A huge number of non-resident Indians belonging to Madhya Pradesh are working in America on important posts. On their appeal, “Friends of Madhya Pradesh” was constituted last year. This has helped in forming a positive opinion about Madhya Pradesh in America. Now its activities are expanding. People from Madhya Pradesh residing in America have demanded that international flights should be started from Indore and Bhopal. Chouhan said that “Friends of Madhya Pradesh” is playing a significant role in building a positive image of Madhya Pradesh.

Chouhan told that a team of 400 doctors of Columbia are willing to visit Madhya Pradesh. There are many Thalassemia patients in the state. Its treatment is expensive because bone marrow transplant is expensive. All arrangements are being made in Indore’s MY Hospital for the treatment of Thalassemia. Operations will also be started in coming April-May. Currently doctors are taking training in America. Similarly proposals have been obtained for treatment of cancer. He said that non-resident Indians wish to extend support in health and education sectors in India. He said that the children belonging to the second generation of non-resident Indians wish to connect with our culture. For this, a meeting of “Friends of MP” is being organized in Indore on January 4 and 5 in which mutual support areas of MP will be considered.

Chouhan said that Incubation and Entrepreneurship Centre will be introduced in GSITS Indore which will be supported by Tandon School of Engineering of New York University. He told that a delegation of US India Business Council will visit the state in November. The team will discuss possibilities of investment in the food processing, defence, automobile and textile sectors.-Windowtonews
