Legal Action to be Taken against Maltreatment with Electricity Workers

Bhopal: Taking serious note of incidents of scuffle/maltreatment with the electricity employees and officers while conducting their duties by the anti-social elements, the Madhya Kshetra Vidhyut Vitran Company has taken a decision for legal action.
It has been witnessed often by the company that the anti-social elements misbehave and pick up brawl with the electricity employees during the duty. These kinds of incidents led to decline in the morale of the employees and the officers. Officers have been told that such kind of incidents with the employees and the officers should be taken with utmost seriousness.
Directives have been given for immediate legal action by considering the mistreatment or brawl with the officers and employees on duty as an obstacle in the government duty. According to the company no one can be permitted to demoralize the officers and the employees, who are working sincerely in the current Rabi season. The officers and the employees have been told for constant monitoring of electricity supply and to get in touch with the district collector/superintendent of police for their help in case of any untoward incident. Instructions have been given to the General Managers of the company that they should review the cases of brawls with the employees and officers lodged in the police stations and sub-judice in the courts during the last 5 years-Windowtonews
