Farmers who Sold Produces in October will Get Bhavantar Amount within Next 2 Weeks

Bhopal: Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan said that the difference amount under the Bhavantar Bhugtan Yojana must reach in the bank accounts of the registered farmers who have sold their agriculture produces during 16 to 31 October within the next 2 weeks. Such payment arrangement should be made that the amount should be transferred in one click in all the bank accounts. He further mentioned that the payment information should also be sent to the registered farmers through SMS.

Chouhan gave these instructions to the officers during the review of Bhavantar Bhugtan Yojana at Mantralaya today. Chief Secretary Shri B.P. Singh was also present on the occasion.

CM Chouhan mentioned that arrangements related to crop sale in all the mandis of the state should be monitored constantly. Sale of crops on reasonable prices should be ensured. He further stated that the Bhvantar Bhugtan Yojana is an excellent initiative to ensure reasonable prices to the farmers. Extend benefit of the scheme to the farmers and this work should be monitored constantly. Moreover, Chouhan urged the farmers to come forward to avail the benefit of the scheme. Not to come in any kind of entrapment, he added. Information at wide scale should be publicized in this connection, he said.

It was informed in the meeting that 35 lakh quintal crop has been sold in the mandis by One lakh 17 thousand 500 registered farmers between October 16 to 31 under the Bhavantar Bhugtan Yojana. About Rs. 167 crore 42 lakh difference amount will be deposited by the state government in the bank accounts of the farmers.

Moreover, it was informed that the farmers who wish to store their produces will be given a monthly subsidy of Rs. 9.90 per quintal by the government on storing produces in licensees’ warehouses.

Additional Chief Secretary Finance A.P. Shrivastava, Principal Secretary Agriculture Rajesh Rajora, Principal Secretary to CM S.K. Mishra, Commissioner Public Relations Anupam Rajan, Managing Director State Warehousing Corporation K.C.
