Farmers to get Price Difference from Rs. 235 to 2400 per quintal

Bhopal: Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan said that an economic security cover has been provided to the farmers through Bhavantar Bhugtan Yojana. He told the registered farmers that they should not come in anyone’s entrapment. This scheme is applicable on FAQ and Non-FAQ, both the types of crops. He issued directives to deposit the difference amount directly in the bank accounts of the farmers within next 2 weeks. He said that the farmers will be informed about the payment through SMS.

Under the Bhavantar Bhugtan yojana, 1 lakh 17 thousand 500 registered farmers who have sold soybean, urad, moong, ground nut and maize in the mandis of the state between the period October 16 to 31 will get a total amount of 167 crore.
The difference amount has been fixed by the state government for these types of agriculture produces. According to the fixation, the farmers will get the difference amount of Rs. 470 per quintal on soybean. Similarly, the difference amount of Rs. 1455 per quintal on moong, Rs. 730 per quintal on ground nut, Rs. 2400 per quintal on urad and Rs. 235 per quintal on maize will be paid to the farmers.-Windowtonews
