Entry for seating through Biometric machine in the general coaches of a train
Now the seats to be reserved in the general coach of a train
JULY 24 (WTN) - As you know that the traveling in the general coaches of Indian trains is not less than a problem in a country with a large population like India. Due to the restrictions of general compartments and the excess of the passengers, the passengers get stuck and crush. But, if we tell you that the passengers can reserve a seat in the general compartment, then it will be a surprise to you. Actually, some similar experiment has been successfully used in Mumbai. Let us explain in detail what this experiment is about.
On the railway stations like Delhi and Mumbai in the country, there is a huge crowd of the passengers for traveling in the general coaches. Due to the limited number of general coaches, the number of passengers tries to board on the general coaches. In order to sit in the general compartments, the passengers have to stand in a queue for a long time to board in the general coach before the train is departed. It is alleged that some Kuli and RPF soldiers sell the seats of the general coaches by taking money.
After several such problems and complaints emerged, RPF's DG Arun Kumar planned to set up a biometric system in the Pushpak Express that runs between Mumbai and Lucknow in the form of a trial. According to DG Arun Kumar, using this technique has helped in the management of the crowd, and the stampede on platform is over. Using this technique, travelers are easily able to board in the general compartments.
For your information, let you know that in the Biometric system, seats are available in the general coaches on the basis of first come-first serve. On this basis the Railway Protection Force (RPF) is conducting Biometric system in Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus in the Pushpak Express. After successful completion of this experiment, the management can now try this Biometric system in other trains.
According to this system, when a passenger arrives at the railway station, he will have to use Biometric system to board on the concerned train. For this, the passenger must give his finger print in the Biometric machine. After giving finger print, the seat for the passenger will be reserved in the general bogie of the concerned train. Once the seat has been reserved, the passenger will have to make his finger print match again before boarding on the general coach, then the passenger will get seat in the bogie in direction of the RPF.
For your information, let you know that as much as the ability to accommodate the passengers in the general coach, same number of fingerprint will be taken by the machine for the seat reservation. In this way, on the basis of first come-first serve, passengers will easily get seats in the general coaches. However, after filling all the seats of the General Coach, the rest of the passengers can stand in the general coach and travel.
It is being said that in the coming days, the Biometric machine will be used to reserve seats in the general coaches on crowded railway stations. After the direction of Railway Minister Piyush Goyal, this initiative has been taken by the RPF to overcome the problems of people traveling in the general coaches so that the crowd of passengers can be managed.
At present, the Biometric machines have been installed at four stations in Mumbai and the trials in the Pushpak Express for the last four months have been successful. According to the information, as per the need, the general bogies of all the trains are preparing to apply the Biometric facility for the entry of the passengers, in which there are rush of the passengers.
