It is believed that Maa Lakshmi is recognized as the Goddess of wealth, fortune, love and beauty. Maa Lakshmi is playful, that is, she does not stay permanently in one place.
It is believed in the scriptures that the Maa Lakshmi's habitat is to stay in clean place. Therefore, if you want to receive the blessings of Maa Lakshmi then keep your house always clean. As soon as you get up in the morning, you should invocation Maa Lakshmi. After taking bath in the morning, the turmeric water should be sprayed on the main door of the house.
To satisfy the Maa Lakshmi, it is necessary to worship planet Venus. For this, you can have a small fast on Friday. On Friday, after filling water in the southward conch shell, there should be consecration of Lord Vishnu by three consecutive Friday.It is believed that by doing so, Maa Lakshmi is pleased.
In order to please Maa Lakshmi, "Om Shring Shirye Namah" Mantra should be chanted 108 times. This Mantra should be started from Friday and continue up to 43 days. When the chanting of the Mantra is complete, you should present Kheer to Maa Lakshmi. After this, serve food to girls, who are less than seven years of age, Brahmins or a poor elderly. Keep in mind that Kheer and sugar candy should be in food served to above persons.
