WTN- We must familiar with common smells around us and occasionally senses some different aromas, but do you ever imagine or think about the smell of space. Actually it is also not a easy deal for us to go high and sense if there is any smell exists in space. But space also has a unique kind of smell!
According to astronauts, space smells like seared steak, hot metal and welding fumes. Former NASA astronaut, Greg Chamitoff explains about this unique smells which he said “smell of space like really, really strong metallic smell and I don't know exactly what it is.”
As per space scientist and researchers, the reason behind this unique smell are the various processes happening in space time by time like when stars combust, they release polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons, which explains the smell like welding fumes or hot metal. – Window To News
