ASI lifts photography ban on heritage sites and protected monuments

(WTN) Ancient Indian architecture now been captured by your own camera as Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) lifts ban on photography inside centrally protected monuments. In exception, Only Ajanta Caves, Leh Palace and mausoleum of TajMahal will be under photography ban. This ban lifted just after PM Narendra Modi questioned the relevance of photography ban on these monuments and sites at the inauguration event of new ASI building in New Delhi.
Archaeological Survey of India has performing significant conservation work over the course of last 150 years since its inception.

ASI is now taking care of about 3686 monuments across the country and has also been delivering conservation services in other countries in the world like Afghanistan, Myanmar, Cambodia. – Window To News
