Tumbleweed invasion in Victorville, residents call for help

April 18 (WTN)-The heavy winds sent an onslaught of tumbleweeds into the Victorville California last night, virtually burying some homes in the community. Residents of Victorville in the northeast of Los Angeles had to call for assistance after the small community was overrun with tumbleweeds due to severe winds. A tumbleweed is a structural part of plants, , once it is mature and dry, detaches from its root or stem, and tumbles away in the wind.
