Super typhoon Maria rapidly intensifies in the western Pacific

July 6 (WTN) - A tropical storm near the US island territory of Guam has developed into a super typhoon in the western Pacific. According to weather reports, the Category-5 storm could pose a threat to parts of Japan and China in the coming week. A super typhoon has got the name 'Maria' in the western Pacific.
